Filters apply to the loaded page. Curated picks are editorial introductions, not rankings or endorsements.
Give the content its moment
Bring an inscription into focus. Read a document, play supported media, or rotate a 3D object. Keep the original content within reach, with the technical details one step away.
Supported formats and native codecs vary. 3D previews include glTF 2.0, GLB 2.0 and STL, within resource limits.
Make sense of the record
Explore a Rune’s identity, available supply and issuance rules in a readable view. Follow the source-backed links to its creation transaction, block and related inscription when available.
Read-only exploration requires a suitable Ord Rune index. No trading, prices or wallet portfolio is included.
A different way to explore
Connect your own LM Studio or Ollama server. Ask in everyday language, then open the Bitcoin records behind the answer. Optional read-only data tools bring source-labeled results into the conversation.
An AI server and model are required separately. Answers can be wrong; configured public data providers may receive Bitcoin identifiers. Chats last for the open session.
Room to go your own way
Begin with configured public sources or connect what you already run. Guided Bitcoin Core and Ord setup, visible source information and local-only routing let you choose how you explore.
Node setup needs compatible software, storage and sync time. Local-only routing is a provider policy, not whole-machine network isolation.

Yes. The latest public beta is 0.2.0-beta.1, with Create marked Alpha. macOS apps and DMGs are Developer ID-signed by MoonScape Labs Inc but are not Apple-notarized. Windows downloads are unsigned; Linux packages have no repository signatures. Choose your system and processor below. Older releases, including the previous notarized Apple silicon DMG, remain in release history.
Bitcoin Browser is a desktop browser for Bitcoin-native destinations. It uses familiar tabs and navigation, while ordinary websites open in your system browser after confirmation. It is not a general web-search engine.
No. You can begin with configured public sources. You can also connect existing Bitcoin Core or Ord services, or use guided setup. Source capabilities differ: Bitcoin Core alone is not a general address, inscription or Rune index. Pruned and snapshot-assisted setup have storage and historical-lookup tradeoffs; syncing and validation still take time.
A user-run LM Studio or Ollama server and a suitable model on the same computer. Bitcoin Browser does not install the AI service or include a model. Model behavior varies, and explanations can be wrong. Read-only tools access eligible configured sources; they cannot sign, spend, inspect wallet credentials or execute arbitrary code. A local endpoint does not guarantee that its server performs all inference locally.
Supported previews include images, readable text and code, JSON, Markdown, interactive HTML, audio/video, PDF, fonts and glTF 2.0, GLB 2.0 and STL models. Format, codec, platform and resource limits apply. Active content is isolated and external networking is blocked by default, so some experiences have unavailable dependencies. Unsupported content can be saved as an original file.
Browse provides read-only Rune exploration. Create Alpha has separate a native Rune etching form with configurable open-mint terms connected to a local Bitcoin Core / Ord wallet, with exact transaction review. It does not offer trading, prices or portfolio views. The separate extension Wallet Bridge keeps packaged PSBT and message signing disabled. The app never imports a seed phrase or private key; wallet recovery is not included. Mainnet creation has not yet been qualified.
Browsing history, bookmarks, cached content and diagnostic logs are stored locally. This beta includes no app analytics or telemetry transport. Configured public providers, independently running nodes and wallet extensions may still make network requests. Offline mode can use eligible data already cached; it does not disconnect those separate services. Ask Bitcoin chats are memory-only and disappear on tab closure or restart.
Choose the latest release for your processor. On macOS 13 or later, use the signed Alpha DMG and drag Bitcoin Browser into Applications; ZIP is also available. These latest Mac builds are not Apple-notarized. Windows offers unsigned Setup EXE, Portable EXE and ZIP for x64 or ARM64. Linux offers AppImage, DEB, RPM and tar.gz. Updates are manual: quit before replacing the app, back up your profile and export Create projects before returning to an older release. The public source is MIT-licensed.
